The leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has condemned the unjust killing of Ibrahim Badmus by unidentified men of the South Africa police. The killing which occurred on Tuesday 10th, October, 2017, happened barely a week after the killing of another Nigerian – Jelili Omoyele,35 years, who was allegedly shot dead at Johannesburg over a 300 Rand (7,500 Naira) parking debt.

A statement by the national body of the association stated that Ibrahim Badmus was tortured and suffocated to death by the police officers at his residence in Vaal during a raid.
“We mourn the loss of these young men and send our deepest condolences to their families. We hope they rest in peace and justice is served to perpetrators of this dastardly acts.
“Most importantly, we implore the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, and the Nigerian Consul-General Godwin Adama to ensure justice as an imperative to stop the killings of Nigerians in South Africa.
“The leadership of NAPS remains resolved to uphold the fundamental of individuals, irrespective of their nationality or race,” it read.
