Progressive Congress members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have called for thorough investigation to uncover the whereabouts and disposition of the NANS bus generously donated to the organization by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
The bus was said to be for the efficient management of the Association’s affairs as there is concerning information that there may be plans to sell the buses.
The Progressive Congress members in a statement signed by Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan (Last Don) “wish to draw the attention of all Students Union Government (SUG) Presidents, stakeholders within the Association and the general public to a matter of great importance.”
It stated that, “We request your vigilance and scrutiny regarding the whereabouts and disposition of the NANS bus generously donated to the organization by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for the efficient management of the association’s affairs.”
“There is concerning information that there may be plans to sell this bus.”
“In addition, we urge everyone to refrain from engaging in any transactions involving properties owned by the association, including the plot of land designated for the construction of our National Secretariat”, the group added.
It stressed that, “Henceforth, we declare that all eyes should be keenly focused on the fate of the NANS bus, as its integrity and purpose are of utmost importance to us and the Nigerian student community at large.”
