NATIONAL Insurance Commission (NAICOM), has announced a major shakeup in its top management cadre as well as other senior positions. In the reorganization, seven full directors and 23 assistant directors were affected.
This development according to Head of Corporate Communications, ‘Razaq ‘Salam was in furtherance of its efforts to reposition the Commission for better service delivery.
“Some of those affected include: “Mr Olufemi Oba, former Director Supervision, is now Director, Finance and Accounts; Mr Barineka Thompson, former Director, Inspectorate, is now Director Supervision; Mr Pius Agboola, former Director Authorisation and Policy, is now Director, Inspectorate; Mr Leonard Akah, former Head, Corporate Governance, is now Acting Director Authority and Policy;
“Mr Ahmad Adamu, former Head, Enforcement and Compliance, is now Head, Compliance Bureau; Mr Monday Faruna Adaji, former Head, Inspectorate Lagos is now Head, Internal Audit; and Mr Kamal Barde, former Head, Internal Audit is now AD Supervision.”
The statement said, a total of 23 other staff in the rank of Assistant Director and below have also been redeployed; stating that all transfers are with immediate effect.
