According to a statement signed recently by the NIWA spokesman, Tayo Fadile, the agency’s MD/CEO, Senator Mamora visited the Baro River Port to ascertain the level of work done so far and said the river port would soon start operation.
Mamora who was impressed by what he saw said the contractors are fixing the last equipment and that it will be ready in another one week or two.
The MD commended the contractors for a job well done, and also the community for being a good host and encouraged them to ensure the safety and security of the river port.
