Could you elaborate on the role of the Master of Public Health (MPH) in global health from New York University (NYU) in shaping your approach to healthcare?
The MPH from NYU profoundly shaped my approach by providing a comprehensive understanding of public health frameworks, issues, policy making, and the importance of data-driven decision making in proffering solutions that guarantees sustainable returns on investments. It honed my skills in designing and implementing health programs that address both local and global health challenges.
How do you integrate clinical practice, public health, and strategy consulting in addressing global health challenges?
I integrate these domains by using clinical insights to inform public health strategies, while leveraging consulting skills to drive implementation and execution. This holistic approach ensures that health initiatives are grounded in practical, political and economic realities and are strategically effective.
How have you managed to combine academic expertise with pragmatic solutions in your field that you talked about?
In my work, I apply academic research to identify root causes of health issues and develop evidence-based interventions. I then translate these into actionable, sustainable strategies, considering real-world constraints and cultural contexts.

Can you provide examples of the impact you have made in influencing health policy, particularly in relation to non-communicable diseases?
My impact includes influencing policies on tobacco control, advocating for increased funding in non-communicable disease research, and contributing to the development of health guidelines that prioritize prevention and holistic care.
How do you envision the future of global health, and what steps do they believe are crucial for achieving lasting health equity on a global scale?
I envision a future where health equity is a cornerstone of all health policies and practices.
