Fans of Babatunde Abdulmajeed, popularly known by his stage name, Scoozi, have described him as one of the ones to watch among upcoming crossover rappers and singers.
Scoozi, a 19-year-old Education Management undergraduate of the Univesrsity of Ilorin, Kwara State, is set to release a new single and video before the end of the month.
The 300-level student, in a short interview with the Friday Treat, said that his latest song, titled ‘Joro’, was about a pretty lady he met while in school.
Scoozi, who started his music career early 2018, recorded his first single the same year. Shortly after, he got admitted into the University of Ilorin but had challenges combining music and academics.
With time, he figured it out and released a song, titled, ‘Come Back’, to tell his fans that he is still in the industry. Later, he released a single, ‘Ife Re’.
He said that ‘Joro’, his latest song, will be released alongside the video before the end of this month, adding that the novel coronavirus pandemic, characterised by lockdown and stay-at-home directives, slowed down post production activities after the video was shot.
