Media experts call for strict adherence to professional ethics

Media experts have called on journalists and members of staff in the broadcast media to enforce strict adherence to professional ethics, modern and digital development in the industry as well ensure control of practitioners to save the country from crisis.

The experts said this during the World Radio Day 2020 marked February 13, by the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Oyo State Council l, held at studio one, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dugbe, Ibadan.

A former Chief Press Secretary to the late governor of Oyo State, Bola Ige, SAN, Chief Lekan Alabi, Zonal Director, FRCN, Muhammad Bello who was represented by Mrs Bolanle Owoyemi, National President of RATTAWU, and Alhaji Kunle Junaid, spoke at the event.

Chief Alabi, who chaired the occasion called on radio presenters and journalists to always be ahead of their profession because technological innovations have given the audience the opportunity to double-check whatever information that is dished out on the radio unlike in the past.
