A 37 -year old man, Yinka Agbola was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court over alleged false pretence.
The Police Prosecutor Insp. Monica Ikebuilo told the court that the accused committed the offence in 2018 in the state capital
He alleged that the accused unlawfully and with false pretence obtained plumbing materials, worth N1.5 M from one Eze Emmanuel.
According to her, the offence contravened Section 419 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 77, Laws of Ekiti State. 2012.
The accused pleaded not guilty as his lawyer, Mr Stephen Ademuagun prayed the court to grant bail to his client on liberal terms, with a promise not to jump bail.
In her ruling, Magistrate Adefunke Anoma, consequently granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50, 000 and one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case to September 24, 2019, for further hearing.
