A 31-year-old man, Emmanuel Alawo, was on Wednesday sentenced to 60 days imprisonment by a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for constituting a public nuisance.
The judge, Alhaji Inuwa Maiwada, sentenced Alawo as he admitted committing the offence and begged for leniency.
Maiwada, however, gave him an option of N3, 000 fine.

Earlier, the prosecutor, John Okpa, had told the court that the Police Crime Prevention Unit, Utako, arrested and brought Alawo to Utako Police Station, Abuja, on Feb. 13.
Okpa said that on the same date, at about 11:30 p.m. when a team of policemen raided a black spot, around Jabi Park, arrested Alawo.
He alleged that Alawo constituted a nuisance, disturbed the people living within the area, and did not stop in spite of several warnings.
The prosecutor said that Alawo was also caught with a dangerous weapon, while the offence contravened the provisions of Section 199 of the Penal Code.
