A Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court, on Tuesday, sentenced a 51-year-old man, Hyacinth Nnamani, to two months in prison for causing an obstruction on a public highway.
The Judge, Mohammed Marafa, however, gave him an option of N20, 000 fine and warned him to be of good behaviour.
Nnamani of Maitama, Kubwa, Abuja, had pleaded guilty to causing an obstruction on a public highway and failing to display the vehicle licence on the windscreen of his car.
He further begged for leniency.
The Prosecutor, Babajide Olanipekun, had told the court that the convict on Jan. 25 made an illegal “u” turn along Aso Junction, Kubwa while driving his Toyota car.

He further said that the convict caused obstruction to other road users, adding that the offence contravened Section 39 and 18 of the Road Traffic Act. (NAN)
