A 40-year-old man, Hillary Apeh has been arrested for allegedly inflicting injuries on a 9-year old girl in Maryland Estates, 3-3 Onitsha, Anambra State.
The suspect reportedly inflicted several wounds on the body of the victim, who coincidentally is his niece.
TribuneOnline gathered that the suspect had on several occasions physically abused the victim who has scars all over her body.

Confirming the incident in a statement in Awka, on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed said the victim has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
He said the man confessed that assaulted the victim because of the time she spent any time she was sent on an errand.
He added that investigation was ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book.
