The serving councilor and five others who include; former Supervisory Councillor in the local council, Mr Akuha Shimaibo and Terzungwe Bem, Terwase Aloho, Tersoor Dura as well as Asom Tyongi.
The accused persons who are all of Mbakyaa kindred in Shangev-ya district of the local government are facing case of culpable homicide.
The accused persons were reported to have invaded the deceased residence on 14 of June, 2017 and forcefully abducted him, heinously killed and abandoned his dead body in the bush close to their area.
Following the death of Iorchir, his younger brother, one Aondowase Iorchir on the 19th of June, 2017 reported the matter to the Police Zonal Command, Gboko, who swung into action and arrested the suspects.
The case which came up yesterday has presided over Magistrate Mrs Igyama A.R who ruled on the motion for bail in respect of the six accused.
She told their counsels that the court lacks jurisdiction to grant the clients ball since it’s a case of culpable homicide and capital offense in nature.
Mrs Igyama added in the ruling that after all, a statement of eyewitness account has been placed before court to persuade her to refuse the application for bail in the interest of justice.
