There seems to be an end in sight to the crisis rocking the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, jointly owned by Oyo and Osun states as the two governors met in Abuja on Wednesday to discuss the way forward.
The meeting between Oyo State governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, and his Osun State counterpart, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, was facilitated by the chairman of the school’s governing council, Professor Oladapo Afolabi.

The two states have been exchanging words in recent times over the issue of funding.
Also, some members of staff of the institution who are indigenes of Oyo State have been asking the government of Osun State to quit and allow Oyo State to solely run the institution.
At the meeting, it was agreed that they set up a 10-man committee to look into the issue of joint ownership and proffer lasting solutions.
