Love, passion inspired me to go into gospel music — Ohia kanayo Peter

GOSPEL music artist, Ohia kanayo Peter, has said he went into gospel music due to his love and passion for the art.

However, one of his biggest inspirations was recollecting when his late mother sang in her local church choir “and that always move me to also do the same.

”Born on May 5, 1980, Peter who hails from Uzii in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State, reveals that the most common mistake some gospel ministers make is drinking before performing and also keeping malice with fellow gospel artists.

This, he said, defeats the purpose of a gospel minister’s performance led by the Holy Spirit.

Married with four children, Peter charged younger gospel artists to focus on their calling and also ask God for the grace to serve faithfully due to the distractions from left and right.

He said: “Another thing for them to know is that it is the Holy Spirit that inspires them and they must always be in tune with the Holy Spirit.

”On his favorite artist and song, Peter says, “my favorite song is ‘No be say I dey craze by Chioma Jesus,’ and the artist is also my favorite artist.”Apart from music, Peter is also a businessman.
