There was substantial compliance with the lockdown order in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, the first of a two-week period.
Ever busy highways were virtually empty as motor parks were all locked up.
However, in the various neighbourhood, life bubbled on as usual.

Shops opened along streets, eateries, pharmacies sold goods to customers.
Even in markets that were formally shut down days ago continued to function as many traders opened their shops.
In Kubwa, the largest satellite town, many residents sat together in groups largely oblivious of the social distancing directive to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Although Government exempted banks from the lockdown, none of them opened to customers but their ATMs served those who queued up to withdraw cash.
Also, few commercial motorcyclists and tricycles dodged police checkpoints to make brisk business.
However, policemen at the checkpoints tried to be as professional as possible ascertaining why private vehicles on the road and also where they were heading.
While some were asked to make a u-turn, others with satisfactory explanations made their way past.
