“Television technology has come a long way, transforming not just the way people enjoy the entertainment, but also the formats in which media broadcasts or streams it.
Today, we can imagine and expect TVs to do a lot more than just display favourite media,” this was the way Mr Vanjamin Kim, General Manager Home Entertainment Division, LG Electronics West Africa operation describes the technology behind television.
According to him, the new flagship 77-inch class W7 LG Signature OLED TV flaunts a groundbreaking minimalist Picture-on-Wall form factor, while harnessing the unparalleled picture performance of OLED technology, immersive Dolby Atmos sound and unmatched high dynamic range capabilities to deliver a previously impossible home cinema experience.
“The 77-inch LG Signature OLED TV makes use of LG OLED’s unique ability to turn individual pixels completely off or on to reproduce the most lifelike images of any television with perfect blacks, stunning brightness and an expanded colour gamut. Combined with the intense detail of 4K Ultra HD and the ability to render over a billion rich colours, which allows the 77W7 to display 64-times more shades of color than conventional TVs, the display brings consistent theater-quality pictures to the home from even wide viewing angles.
“It is important to note, that the critically-acclaimed 77-inch class LG Signature OLED W7 “Wallpaper” TV has earned several coveted awards which includes; Popular Science “Best of What’s New” Award in the Entertainment category, widest collection of TV awards; Best of the Best awards amongst many others in various category. LG OLED TVs has consistently maintained a tradition of excellence and includes the Picture on Wall design of the SIGNATURE W7,” he stated.
Commenting further on the technology behind OLED TV, Kim said: “In the future, TVs with in-built Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be able to learn usage patterns and automatically switch modes based on user preference, the OLED TV is designed to function in that capacity which is why the whole technology behind this revolutionary technology would keep marvelling industry observers for a long time to come.
