Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has inaugurated the 9km Zuntu-Falanki-Karreh-Lahadin feeder road in Kubau local government constructed to enable farmers to transport their farm produce to the market with ease.
Speaking while commissioning the feeder road in Pambegua on Tuesday as part of the commemoration of his one-year anniversary in office, Governor Sani, who was represented by the Accountant General of Kaduna state, Hon. Bashir Suleiman Zuntu, said the road, part of the rural transformation agenda of his administration, is meant to help farmers transport their farm produce to the market easily to reduce post-harvest losses and increase income for the farmers. “As we witness the commissioning ceremony of the 9km feeder road spanning Zuntu-Falanki-Karreh-Lahadin, it’s a milestone in the rural transformation agenda of our administration.
“For over 10 years the people here have been suffering because of this road a 50-minute trip now takes 10-15 minutes. Our children can now access their schools and the people can now access primary healthcare centers easily, especially during emergencies.”
Governor Uba Sani is implementing massive rural projects across the three senatorial districts. Poverty reduction in rural area vital for economic and administrative growth. The Governor is supporting social life, building network of roads in rural areas, solar street lights to improve infrastructure.
“The road projects in so many communities across the state is strategic to enable farmers reach the market with their produce, health, education, feeder road, create empowerment, stimulate local economy and develop rural areas. I must commend Governor Uba Sani for his unwavering commitment to rural development. I register my gratitude to the Governor for this project and for those that work tirelessly it is completed timely. The people of these communities should make good use of this road to the benefit of all,” the AG said.
Chairman of Kubau local government, Hon. Musa Saleh Banki, in his remarks, said five projects were earmarked by Governor Uba Sani for the people of Kubau, noting there are four more projects in Kubau carried out by the government, all aimed at tackling poverty and making life easy for the people in the rural areas. “The project to be commissioned today is one of the five projects that Governor Uba Sani brought to Kubau within the last one year.
“There is the solar street light, Anchau-Ikara road, and this road. Some have been completed some are about to be completed. Kubau is one of the local governments that have benefited from the Governor Uba Sani administration. Before now we were in darkness in Kubau local government but today many of the people are living with light. We are very grateful to the Governor for fulfilling his promises,” the local government chairman said.
The Hakimi of Kubau, Alhaji AbdulKareem Magaji has nothing but appreciation for the Governor for visiting Kubau with infrastructural facilities, noting that they would all give the Governor maximum support for his administration to succeed.
