Elon Musk, CEO of X, has extended an open invitation to software engineers to join the X team without requiring formal education or prior work experience.
The billionaire made this known in a post on his official X account on Wednesday.
Musk’s call is aimed at those passionate about building the “everything app,” encouraging prospective candidates to demonstrate their abilities through their coding work.
He enjoined interested applicants to submit their best programming efforts directly to X for consideration.
He tweeted, “If you’re a hardcore software engineer and want to build the everything app, please join us by sending your best work to code@x.com.
“We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what “big name” company you worked at. Just show us your code.”
