The Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, on Friday approved 27 new commissioner-nominees.
A statement issued by Chris Ezem, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), stated that Gov. Ikpeazu had forwarded the names of the commissioner-nominees to the Abia State House of Assembly for screening.
They are Mazi Donatus Okorie, Ndom Godwin, Chief Okezie Erondu, Professor Ikechi Mgbeoji, Karibe Ojigwe, Chief Mrs Uwaoma Olewengwa, Prince C.O.Enweremadu, Barr Charles Esonu, Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa, Hon Monday Ajaegbu, Mr Sopuruchi Bekee, Deaconess Rose Urenta, Chief Kingsley Imaga.
Others include Chidiebere Uwagwu Kalu, Barr I.C. Mark, Chief Chisom Nwachukwu, Chief Eze Nwanganga, Barr Tony Nwanmuo, Barr Sam Nwogu, Dr Chidi Onwuchuruba, Ugochukwu Emezue, Mrs Adaku Oseiza, Barr Eze Chikamnayo, Chief Godswill Nwanoruo, Prince Obinna Okey, Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma and Barr C.C. Emelogu.
Ikpeazu dissolved his cabinet on the 23rd January 2021 retaining only five commissioners, including that of Justice, Finance, Health, Works and Information.
