Problems, we are told, are wake-up calls to creativity. The coming National Census should be planned in a manner that poverty-stricken homes can be identified & marked for future action.

The Federal Government claimed recently that #330bn cash transfers were made to poor homes, affecting over 8 million Nigerians. Strategic cash transfers targeting 8 million voters in 2027? Which homes?

Also, the #20bn library funds raised by Senator Remi Tinubu would have been better set aside for the free treatment of poor sick folks who cannot afford the high cost of drugs & surgeries & are dying daily in our hospitals. There is a clamour for the creation of more states.

I don’t understand Yoruba politicians’ silence on restructuring now that a Yoruba man is president. We need thinkers with the knowledge of what to do to take Nigeria from backwardness to modernity. Nigeria is failing today because such thinkers have not emerged. Bandits now have become lords in some parts of Nigeria, extracting deals from toothless rulers & our security forces failed to bear their own teeth & left the murderous gangs roam free. Ha! Nigeria is in real trouble.
