I want to inspire generations to greatness with creativity —Osbalt

With a keen eye and creative mind, rising photographer, designer and filmmaker, Oluwatobi ‘ Abobade, otherwise known as Osbalt’ believes that his talent and creativity will pave way for his success in the entertainment industry.

For somebody who is passionate about bringing out something out of the ordinary, Osbalt said those who have a creative mind will continue to dominate the entertainment space irrespective of the field they find themselves.

According to him, being a front-runner in the Nigerian creative space comes with a lot of challenges as he has to keep reinventing himself and bracing up for new ideas that could further help change enrich the lives of many people who look up to their creative interventions for their businesses to thrive.

He said he has not only inspired upcoming creatives but also contributed to the conceptualisation of several iconic projects, adding that he landed his first major gig as a graphic designer while at the University of Ilorin studying Geography.

“As one of the first modern graphics designers to emerge from Nigeria, I worked on major projects with record labels, multinationals and creative agencies.”

He has since expanded his passion for creativity to include photography and filmmaking, for which he has won several awards and had his work published in International Magazines such as Elléments and PUMP magazine. He has also photographed local and international celebrities such as America rapper Future and Nigeria Afro-house singer Niniola.

Recalling how his creative journey started with his love for drawing while he was still in primary school, Osbalt said he was fascinated by computers and drawings. While playing toying around with both passions, he soon discovered graphic design while searching for a way to convert his drawings into graphics.

He has since expanded his passion for creativity to include photography and filmmaking, for which he has won several awards and had his work published in International Magazines such as Elléments and PUMP magazine. He has also photographed local and international celebrities such as America rapper Future and Nigeria Afro-house singer Niniola.

These days, in affiliation with 93 agency and Osbalt Studios, Osbalt functions as a creative director and has contributed to the creation of major brand campaigns through brand identity building, UI/UX, graphic design, photography and film making.
