PREMIUM lager brand, Heineken, has reiterated its commitment to strengthening its presence in Nigeria, while also continuing its journey towards fostering positive change, as it unfolded its 150th anniversary celebrations plans.
Disclosing this at a media parley held in Lagos, recently, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Breweries Plc., Hans Essaadi, stated that the presence of the parent company, HEINEKEN International in Africa, specifically Nigeria, represents its commitment to the region and its vibrant communities.
“In Nigeria, we have made significant strides, with a 56.7 percent ownership of Nigerian Breweries Plc. As the largest premium beer brand in Nigeria, we take our responsibility seriously. Over the past three years, we have collaborated with 76 outsourced service providers, positively impacting the lives of10,000 employees,” he stated.
Also speaking at the event, the Portfolio Manager, Premium, Sessionable& 0.0 Lager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sampson Oloche, added that as a way of appreciating the lager brand’s teeming consumers for their loyalty, and deepening its ties with Nigeria, the brand will be unveiling a series of activities to celebrate the anniversary.
“We will be organising events in key cities across the country, where our valued consumers can come together and experience the true essence of gezelligheid. These celebrations will showcase the vibrancy of the Nigerian culture, featuring live music, entertainment, and unforgettable moments that capture the spirit of Heineken,” he stated.
