TribuneOnline learnt that the gunmen numbering about ten forced their ways into the palace of the monarch at about 8: 00 pm on Monday and kidnapped the traditional ruler who was caught unaware and disappeared with him to an unclosed destination.
It was gathered that the incident caused confusion and pandemonium as the gunmen shot into the air to scare the people of the community from trailing them while efforts by the locals to trace the gunmen proved abortive.
Former Councilor in Dorok community, Hon Leo Densak who disclosed the abduction of the second class monarch said that the gunmen numbering over ten people stormed his house on Monday night at about 8 pm and whisked him away to an unknown destination while shooting sporadically to scare villagers away as they made their escape.

However, the state police command through a statement signed by the Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Mathias Tyopev Terna said the unfortunate incident occurred on Monday at about 8: 00 pm when unknown gunmen stormed the residence of “the Longdorock, HRH Engr David Isah Dongbam, the Second Class Chief of Dorock Kingdom of Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State and Kidnapped him to unknown destination.”
According to the command, on receipt of the information, the Command immediately formed a search and rescue team which is working assiduously to rescue the Paramount Ruler unhurt adding that the police shall update members of the public as soon as new information crops up.
