JIgawa state governor, Malam Namadi has transmitted 16 names of commissioners nominees to the state house of Assembly for Screening
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim and made available to Tribune Online in Dutse, JIgawa state capital said “Mal. Umar A. Namadi has written to the Jigawa State House of Assembly seeking the confirmation of sixteen (16) Commissioners nominees.”
The Secretary to the Government noted that the nominees were Ibrahim Babangida Umar, Prof. Hannatu Sabo Muhammad, Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa and Aminu Kanta
According to the statement, others are Ahmed Garba MK, Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa, Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo, Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo and Sagir Musa Ahmed.
The list includes Hadiza Abdulwahab, Col. Muhammad Alhassan (rtd), Dr. Nura Ibrahim Dandoka Engr. Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam, Auwal Danladi Sankara Musa Adamu Aliyu and Muttaka Namadi.
“Governor Umar A. Namadi, in the letter, said that the request for the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended” Ibrahim disclosed.
He emphasised that “It is my hope that this exercise will receive the usual expeditious considerations of the honourable members of the House.”
