After months of serious negotiations, on the new minimum wage, Gombe State Government, organised labour and the Joint Negotiation Council have finally agreed on N30,000 minimum wage.

One of the members of the JNC confided in our correspondent that the new age covers all categories of civil servants in the state including LG staff.
He, however, said that the discussions are still ongoing on the percentage that will be added to the workers based on their salary grade levels assuring that an acceptable conclusion will be reached because according to him all the negotiators are honest and frank with their presentations throughout the meeting.
No commencement date has been announced as at the time of filing this report.
