Member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Yewa North (II) Ketu State Constituency, Wahab Egungbohun has commended the introduction of a bill seeking the establishment of Federal College of Geological and Cement Studies in Iselu, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Egungbohun in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta appealed for the speedy passage of the bill from both the Senate and House of Representatives.
The bill which already passed first reading at the Senate was sponsored by Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola who is also chairman, Senate committee on appropriations.
Egungbohun hinted that Ketu State Constituency remains one of the areas in the state with a large deposit of limestone and other natural resources, adding that the new initiative will be a great achievement if the bill is passed and receives presidential assent.
The statement also congratulated Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, and the entire Ketu community for the new development coming to the community.
He said no doubt the traditional ruler and the entire Ketu community have demonstrated that the establishment of the specialised Institution in the area would not only be a beneficial of the community but also to the entire state and Nigeria at large.
