FRIENDS and family members of Mr Osaretin Igbinedion, 23, the deceased son of former Edo state Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, have continued to mourn him on social media.
The different Facebook pages of his friends and family members have been overwhelmed by comments, expressing grief at the sudden death of the younger Igbinedion who died in a car crash with his cousin, Mr Esosa Oyemwense, 21 in Texas, United States last Friday, February 15.
The car the maternal cousins were in was said to have run into an 18 wheeler at about 3 am.
A family friend who would not want his name in print described Osaretin who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration with a degree in marketing, and a minor in economics as a very humble, cool-headed and intelligent young man.

The deceased who is the ex-governor’s last born and second son also has a Masters degree in International Management from the Northeastern University.
All was quiet as the Okada Avenue palatial home of his grandfather, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin. The massive gates were under lock and key.
According to a family friend who was among the thousands of people who trooped to the home of the ex-governor, he was said to be deeply saddened and almost broken in two when news of the tragedy filtered in.
On her Facebook page, the elder sister and host of the popular The Osasu Show, Ms Osasu Igbinedion eulogized:
“You’re my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You’ll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away. My baby brother has gone home to rest with the Lord. My only sibling. Our baby. Words fail me. To our friends, family and well-wishers, we are strong. Just keep us in prayers.
“Thank you for the calls and text messages, I have not responded because I still don’t believe this is real but be rest assured my family and I sincerely appreciate you all. God bless.”
