As part of its unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and interfaith harmony, a non-governmental organisation, Highbeekay Foundation, has reached out to indigent Muslims across Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Abuja, and Lagos on Friday, March 28, 2025, providing them with food to support their fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking, the founder of the initiative, Ambassador Ibukun Samuel, noted that the gesture was driven by the foundation’s mission to uplift the less privileged and foster unity.
He added that the distribution exercise was conducted with humility and a sense of duty, emphasising the importance of love, tolerance, and compassion among different religious communities.
He highlighted the pressing issue of hunger in the country while appealing to the government to take urgent action in alleviating hunger and hardship.
“Hunger is injurious to mankind. It affects the well-being and productivity of our people. We urge the government to intensify efforts to address food insecurity and implement policies that will bring relief to the masses,” he said.
“Highbeekay Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the less privileged and advocating for a better society where no one is left behind.”
Also speaking, the team leader of the foundation, Seyi Ogundipe, reiterated the foundation’s commitment to promoting social welfare, supporting the needy, and fostering peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians.
He added that the initiative was a profound reminder of the power of compassion and the importance of reaching out to those in need.
“Our foundation believes that kindness knows no boundaries. We are all one, and it is our collective responsibility to support one another, regardless of religious or ethnic differences. This is just one of many initiatives we will continue to embark on to make life better for those in need,” he stated.

Speaking during the distribution in Akure, the Imam of Alafiatayo Mosque, Akure, Alhaji Yusuf Qosim, expressed joy at the gesture, describing it as a remarkable act of kindness that reflects the true essence of humanity.
He noted that such initiatives serve as a reminder that love and unity should always prevail over religious and societal differences. “This is a powerful demonstration of brotherhood and mutual respect between Christians and Muslims. Acts of kindness like this strengthen our bond as one people, regardless of faith,” he remarked.
