The maiden edition of West Africa Agribusiness Show 2020 with the theme “Accelerating Food Revolution in Africa,” will hold between February 18 and 20 at Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
The West Africa Show (WAAS) is an annual exhibition that will provide a viable platform through which innovations in technology, equipment, procedures, and processes in the agribusiness sector can be developed to further enhance the value chain throughout West Africa and Africa at large.
According to the organisers, the WAAS goal is to make West Africa a choice region for agribusiness and development.
The Convener, Mr Idowu Asenuga, Managing Director, AGRI SUPPLIES LIMITED, said, “the programmes has come to stay for long as all necessary things have been put in place to attract local and foreign participants”.
He further stated that it is high time local expert in Agricultural sector be allowed to tell their story.
He hinted that the purpose of the event is to change the narrative in the agricultural sector in Nigeria and encourage small scale farmers and create job opportunities for the jobless.
The event is a radical development as stakeholders connect to share ideas, see and experience the latest in equipment and technical know-how as well as supplies and services deployed in the production and processing of agriculture-related products.
They will also be sharing ideas on the best ways of solving Africa’s toughest challenges relating to food sufficiency and the growth of agribusiness on the continent.
