For me not appreciating your unique nature and trying to look like somebody else is synonymous with losing your identity. Some are so uncomfortable with who they are that they swim in the pool of inferiority complex due to societal pressure and expectation. Look friend, if you know who you are, then you know who you are not.

At times I just wonder why some are so engrossed with rejection courtesy of ill-informed persons that they question their creator for creating them in that unique way. Just know that while they may not like you, there are thousands that desire to meet with you. Do not allow people’s misguided and ill-informed taste and choice to make you lose sleep.
For me, not appreciating your unique nature creates an atmosphere of insecurity, inferiority complex. . You are beautifully and wonderfully made. Always remember that you are a master piece. When you imitate people, you limit yourself. And for you to truly appreciate yourself you need to know who you are, you need to understand your purpose as everything is tied to your purpose. Life is just too short to waste in wallowing in self-pity and misery because you were not created like others. To begin with, there is no basis for comparison as everybody is created in unique ways.
If only people will pay more attention to their inner self more than the outer part, life would get better. It is disheartening that many are only concerned about their physical appearance, thereby relegating their inner selves to the background. This calls for a paradigm shift as you cannot change your perspective or world without working on yourself. Lastly, please note that every exit is another entry. As such, for every person that avoids you because of your natural self, there are many others that would appreciate you. And for you to find them, you need to open the exit door for the former.
