THE former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has taken a swipe against the Monday judgement of Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, upholding Governor Kayode Fayemi as a duly elected governor of the state.
Fayose, in his reaction to the judgement, in a release he personally signed, said he was not surprised at the outcome of the judgement.
According to him, “I would have been surprised at the outcome of the judgement if it had been otherwise in our favour. In fact, the judgement was in the public domain and celebrated by APC since the last few days.
“I enjoin Nigerians and Ekiti people to keep hope alive against all these perversions, suppression and the gagging of the judges, by extension, our judiciary.

Fayose, who said he was still sure of the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Prof Kolapo Olusola Eleka, claiming his victory, said, “It will soon pass. I congratulate Prof.Kolapo Olusola. Be assured victory is ahead.”
The Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja, had, on Monday, upheld Dr Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a duly elected governor of the state.
The Tribunal unanimously struck out the case of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Olusola Eleka.
