‘Time moves so slowly, even after a whole year, we don’t think we’ve fully accepted you are gone!’
This was the message pieced together by friends, families and kinsmen of late police boss, Tafa Balogun, who died a year ago.
The brilliant officer, who served as the country’s Inspector General of Police between 2002 and 2005 died some weeks to his 75th birthday from a heart ailment.
Friends and kinsmen used his one year remembrance to offer prayers for him and the family he left behind.
There was a special prayer at his hometown of Ila Orangun in Osun State and also the media space was occupied by remarks and messages telling of how he lived and all his good deeds.
The late policeman, popularly called, ‘kumawu’ by close friends was the 11th Inspector General of Police who was forced to retire for some serious allegations.
