A former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Dr Olusegun Demuren and many experts in aviation are expected to come together to rub minds on the need to take the country’s aviation sector to the next level come July 14, 2018.
The theme for the seminar is ‘Financing Aviation Development Through Private Sector Partnerships.
Demuren who is expected to present a paper on ‘Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Financing Option for Nigeria’ at a seminar organised by the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) in Lagos, declared that his paper would dwell on available opportunities for the country.
Apart from Demuren, among major personalities in the global aviation industry who have indicated willingness to participate in the seminar include Mr Nick Fadugba, a former Secretary General, African Airlines Association (AFRAA) and Mr Ayo Also, Obilana, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) certified security personnel.

The Director-General of Consumer Protection Council (CPC), Mr Babatunde Irukera and this is also expected to present a speech. Mr Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace also not left out.
Other papers to be presented at the seminar include ‘Funding Perspectives of Aviation Security in Nigeria, ‘Federal/State Government Partnership in Air Navigational Development and ‘Partnerships as Key to Survival of Local Airlines’ among others.
