Kano State governor. Abba Kabir Yusuf while swearing in the former president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) Hon Baba Halilu Dantiye as Commissioner Ministry for information alongside 18 other Commissioners on Monday in Kano, charged them to immediately swing to action in working for the development of the state.
This was just as he tasked them to roll up their sleeves and join him in the enormous task ahead which he believed is achievable
The state deputy governor, Comrade. Aminu Abdulsalam is assigned as the Commissioner for Local Government, while the former chief of staff to former governor, Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Comrade Ali Bukar Makoda got the position of commissioner for Water Resources
Yusuf however disclosed that the days of land grabbing and other forms of anti-people policies are over in the state.
During a grand ceremony that took place at the African House, the Kano state government on Monday filled with spectators who graced the occasion, Abba Gida-Gida called on them to arm themselves with truth and honesty in the discharge of their duties in line with the manifestos of the party in the state and as members of the state executive council saddled with the responsibility of making a decision that affects state in general.
According to him “Your positions have placed a huge burden on your shoulders. You must serve with truth and honesty.”
He said all hands must be on deck in the restoration of the state to the part of glory in all aspects of life which was the case in the past before the past administration which succeeded in crippling such achievements.

Abubakar Labaran yusuf – Commisioner Ministry of Health ,Mr. Marwan Ahmad- Commissioner Ministry of Works, Housing and infrastructure and Barrister Haruna Dederi- Commisioner Ministry for Justice
Also, Dr. Yusuf Kofarmata- Commissioner of the Ministry for Higher Education, Hon Nasiru sule Garo-Commissioner Ministry for Environment, Alhaji Muhammad Diggol-Commissioner Ministry for Transport, Hon Abbas Sani Abbas-Commissioner Ministry for Commerce and Investment, Hon Hamza Safiyanu-Commissioner Ministry for Rural Affairs, Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud -Commissioner Ministry for Agriculture and Hon Musa Sulaiman Shanono-Commissioner Ministry for Budget and planning.
While Hajiya Ladidi Garko -Commisioner Ministry for Culture and Tourism, Hon.Adamu Ali kibiya-Commisioner Ministry for Land and survey, Hon. Tajuddeen Othman- Commissioner Ministry for Science and Technology,Sheik Tijjani Auwal – Ministry for religious affairs and Aisha L Commisioner Ministry for women affairs.
