The Old Students Association of Comprehensive High School Ayedun-Ekiti has presented an award of excellence to comrade Seyi Asaolu for his contributions towards the advancement of humanity and society.
Asaolu from Esun-Ekiti is a former secretary of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) at the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
The award was presented to him on Monday during a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the school through the regent of Esun-Ekiti, Princess Akinola Oluwafisayo Alagbo.
The award was received on his behalf by his wife, Mrs. Kehinde Asaolu.
According to the association, Asaolu was considered for the award in recognition of his generous spirit and commitment to uplifting those around him.
The association said, “Asaolu’s life is a testament to this ethos—embracing each day with the purpose of making life better for others, one small act of kindness at a time.
“This recognition speaks to Asaolu’s enduring belief in the dignity and equality of all people. Asaolu has lived this truth, using his influence not for self-gain but to empower and uplift the people of Ekiti.”
Responding, Asaolu dedicated the award to humanity’s service, reaffirming his commitment to the path he has chosen, “a path that does not end here but calls for me to strive harder, reach higher, and give even more.”
