Enterprise Life Assurance Nigeria has listed the benefits of its digital application, Advantage Connect, which will create a new digital experience around insurance and give users the advantage they desire.
Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Life Insurance, Mrs Funmi Omo, highlighted the benefits and values of the app for prospective users while speaking at a media briefing in Lagos.
Also, she announced the expansion of the firm’s operations to new branches in Abuja and Port Harcourt in a significant step to deepen insurance penetration across the country and make reliable and tailored insurance services more accessible to a broader demographic group.
She said the app is designed to create a new digital experience around insurance. Built on geo-location technology like Uber, it makes the interactions between customers, life planners and enterprise life quicker, easier and more convenient where prospective and current customers can connect with the company’s life planners for support, financial advisory and purchase of insurance products in a secure manner.
Mrs Omo stated that the life planners had been trained to understand the unique goals, aspirations and challenges of each customer and are expected to use their knowledge to help customers draft personalised financial plans that cover key aspects of their lifestyle.
According to her, the life planner plays a crucial role in enhancing insurance literacy and rebuilding trust within the industry, while serving as a mentor, assisting clients in making informed decisions that align with their life goals and contribute to long-term financial stability.
She stressed that the life planners are expected to provide continuous support and adaptability, ensuring that financial plans remain dynamic and responsive to changing circumstances.
She explained how the app works: “Visit Google or Apple Play Store, search for Advantage Connect, download the app and register and click on the option for life planner (LP). You can send your Global Positioning System (GPS) location from within the app to find the LP who is closest to you. The first life planner in the zone will accept your request and attend to you through these steps: arrange a meeting, offer advice, guide caller through self-service.
“You can meet the LP through the following ways: in person, via video call and live chat. The LP can use co-browsing to guide customers through self-service.”
Mrs Omo said the product offers lots of advantages both as savings and risk-mitigating mechanisms for customers, noting that for savings the following plans are available: Digisave Plan, Educare Plan and Lifetime Need Plan. For the risks side, the following plans are available: Digicover Plan, Income Protection Plan and Family Care Plan.
She stressed that the new digital app would deliver value to all stakeholders, adding that for life planners, it will provide an income-earning opportunity with spare time, freedom to choose working hours and territory, self-paced training available 24/7, digital tools to assist with personal effectiveness, cost-effectiveness in running their operations and a reward scheme for customer referrals.
She said values for customers include the ability to choose a time and place to engage with a life planner, a reward scheme for customer referrals, personalised insurance support, speedy response to service requests and online purchase of life cover and enhanced insurance literacy.
According to her, Enterprise Life Insurance as a company will enjoy increased insurance penetration, improved life planner productivity, digital inclusion, ease of attracting life planners and improved risk profiling as values from the new app.
Mrs Omo said the company is working on initiatives like financial literacy for junior school students, advocacy walk in Port-Harcourt, recruitment of student ambassadors and a report on the financial habits of young people to enhance insurance growth.
