Bauchi state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has deployed a total of 1056 personnel for special operations for the 2023 Eid-ul-Fitr celebration across the state.
The NSCDC also assured the people of the state of a hitch-free Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, as the State Commandant, Ameh Edo James charged the officers of the corps to ensure full protection of lives and properties across the state.
The state commandant also warned against the vandalization of critical national assets across the state saying that the deployed officers and men of the corps are expected to be fully mobilized before, during and after the Eid-ul-Fitr festival in the state to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.
James while addressing men for the special operations, stated that, the Command will also deploy its Intelligence, Special Female Squad, Aunti Vandals Squad, Rapid Respond Squad, and the Agro Rengers Squad for the period in order to provide adequate security surveillance in all the Eid-grounds, recreational centres and mostly government properties which is part of the Corps core mandate alongside other security agencies in the state.
In case of any disaster, the State Commandant has directed the Command Medical Unit with Bus Ambulance to be on alert for rescue purposes as contained in a statement by DSC Ibrahim Abubakar Gabdo, State Public Relations Officer.
The Command assured that it will continue to synergize and collaborate with all other conventional security agencies in the state to achieve the goals of protecting lives and properties.
The Commandant then, On behalf of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, wished the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Abdulkadir Bala Muhammed, the Emirate Councils and the good people of Bauchi state joyous, blissful and hitch-free Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
