Mr Philip Ayuba, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger, on Tuesday, said the command recorded zero crime during the Easter.
Ayuba told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna that officers deployed to man different flashpoints in the state demonstrated a commitment to duties.
He said that a report from the 25 Local Government Areas of the state indicated that the celebrations were observed in a peaceful atmosphere.

The commandant said the command would continue to introduce stringent security measures to enable residents to move on with their legitimate businesses freely without threat to lives and property.
“I personally led various operations within and outside the metropolis to monitor officers deployed during and after Easter.
”We will continue to be proactive to confront any form of security threat to enable residents to move on with their legitimate activities,” he said.
He called for the support of the public by providing required information on bad elements in their environment.
