TWO brothers and one other person were, on Monday evening, killed by a driver in Erusu-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State when the driver lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the three people on a motorcycle.
The two brothers, Mubarak and Abu, died instantly, while the third person died before help could reach him.
According to an eyewitness, the driver was said to be speeding when he lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the victims, who were travelling to Gedegede-Akoko.

The source further alleged that the driver was heavily drunk, which made him unable to control his vehicle.
The incident threw the community into mourning, as the siblings were said to be the breadwinners of their family.
A family member explained that the victims were on their way to Gedegede-Akoko after closing from work at Ikare-Akoko.
The Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the area, Yinka Akande, confirmed the incident while describing it as unfortunate and avoidable.
