It was extraordinary fun for 500 children as wife of Delta State governor and founder of ‘You Matter Charity Foundation’, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori hosted them to a Christmas party.
The event, which marked the second edition of the celebration held at Government House, Asaba, afforded the children drawn from the 25 local government areas of the state the opportunity to get closer to seat of power in the state.
Addressing the parents at the gathering, Deaconess Oborevwori urged them to direct their children in the way of God, reiterating that children are parents’ reward, hence proper attention should be given to them.
To the children, the Oborevwori advised them to uphold good morals and demonstrate commitment to their education, even during this festive season.
She reminded them to keep their books close at hand, in order to make their parents and the state proud.
The governor’s wife further encouraged the spirit of sharing during the festive season, especially with vulnerable individuals and members of immediate communities.
Meanwhile, a one minute silence was observed in honour of the late Mrs Oromoni, wife of Warri South-West Local Government Area chairman.
