Hon. Kenneth Ogba, a Member representing Isoko South 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, is dead.
He reportedly slumped and died Sunday evening in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of the state.
A source alleged that he died of a heart-related attack after attending a function in the area, on Sunday.
Some of his political allies in Isoko confirmed the passage of the lawmaker, on Sunday night.
His death is coming barely five months after another lawmaker, Hon. Tim Owhefere, who was the majority leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, died in Asaba.
It was further gathered that Ogba, a first-term member of the house, died during a meeting where he was said to have been provoked by one of the party leaders.
He was reportedly pronounced dead by doctors at Mary Martha hospital in Oleh where he was rushed to.
His remains were later taken to the Oleh General Hospital mortuary.
Some of his political allies in Isoko confirmed the passage of the lawmaker on Sunday night.
Ogba’s family compound in Oleh is said to have been besieged by constituents while the entire Delta Constituency 1, especially his home town, Oleh, has been thrown into deep mourning.
Meanwhile, no statement has, so far, emanated from the family of the deceased as regards the incident.
