Defection: Two APC Reps dump party ‎again

TWO members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the House of Representatives, Hon Babatunde Kolawole and Mukaila Olayiwola Kazeem from Ogun State today ‎resigned their membership of the Party.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara announced this at the Plenary in their letters of resignation read to the members.

While Hon Kolawole defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Kazeem was silent on his next political destination.

Both lawmakers cited the outcome of the last Party Primaries election in the State and the crisis that had erupted the Party since then as their reasons for dumping the Party.

However, the Speaker, Hon Dogara overruled a point ‎of order raised by Hon Suleiman Bello who dismissed the claims of the defectors on the alleged crisis in the APC which prompted their decision and urged the House to declare their seats vacant.
