COVID-19: Ganduje directs Kano civil servants to stay at home

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has directed all civil servants to stay at home for 14 days as a precaution against COVID-19.

The state Commissioner for Information, Comrade Muhammad Garba disclosed this on Tuesday at a press briefing shortly after the state’s executive council meeting.

According to him, only civil servants on special duties are exempted from the stay at home order.

Garba said the state government had also banned inter-state passenger transportation.

The executive council meeting took place at the Africa House Hall of the Government House rather than the usual council chambers in order to ensure physical distancing among the members.
