Delta State has confirmed the recovery and discharge of three COVID-19 patients from its isolation centre after repeated tests came out negative.
This is just as a 29-year-old from Ika North Local Government Area has tested positive to the pandemic in the state, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 23.
The State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, confirmed the developments on Friday.
The index case was one of the three discharged after testing negative.

Aniagwu, however, noted that the new case was already undergoing medical treatment in one of the isolation centres in the state.
So far, there are four deaths, six discharged and 13 active cases of COVID-19 in the state.
