The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), which is the apex Socio-Political Youth Group in the South East geo-political zone, has paid the last tribute to their grand patron, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyan, who was buried on Friday
In a statement issued in Owerri on Saturday by the President General of COSEYL, Comrade Good Luck Ibem, and the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Okey Nwaoru, they observed that Chief Iwuanyanwu leaves an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those they touched.
He said that Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo, was one of such individuals, adding that his life was a tapestry of wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the upliftment of his people and the nation at large.
While reflecting on his journey, the youth body acknowledged that they were celebrating not just the man but the monumental legacy he leaves behind—a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
He said, “We will miss his transformative leadership and lasting impact. He invested his time, contacts, and resources in building robust institutions and participatory democracy.”.
Ibem observed that Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo was a prominent politician, offering valuable lessons on preparation business, networking, risk-taking, and record keeping.
He said that his acumen and strategic thinking and management have been instrumental in maintaining unity and cohesion in Igboland, while his ability to build bridges, foster alliances with other ethnic groups, and navigate complex political landspaces earned him a reputation as a master strategist and elder statesman.
He said, “Ahaejiagamba’s commitment to the welfare of Ndigbo was evident in his wise and compassionate leadership.”
The PG said that the impact of Chief Iwuanyanwu will continue to be felt for generations to come, a shining example of the lasting difference one person can make.
According to him, his commitment to the well-being of Ndigbo, his wisdom, mentorship, and integrity clearly show that he was a “good man” and “political mentor” who had inspired many.
He said that Iwuanyaneu consistently demonstrated his commitment to principle and decorum, even in the face of provocation.
He said, “No words can express the loss we feel, but in spite of this, we are thankful to God for giving us a true, rare gem of our times. A man who inspired selfless love, commitment, and sacrifice for his people.”.
While wishing him to rest in perfect peace, they thanked Iwuanyanwu for being a shining light of hope all through life.
