Representatives of Nigeria’s largest group of clearing agents at the ports, the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), while on a visit to the $1.5bn Lekki Deep Seaport, raised concerns over the state of the ports access roads leading to the Lekki Freeport Terminal and a lack of a Freight Forwarders Village at the port.
In a post on it’s social media handles on Tuesday, the terminal operator for Lekki Deep seaport, the Lekki Freeport Terminal explained that the Terminal operator takes these concerns seriously and is actively working with partners, including government agencies, to address this issue and improve road connectivity for seamless cargo transit.
According to Lekki Freeport Terminal, “We were honoured to welcome representatives from NAGAFF (National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders) & ANCLA (Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents) to our state-of-the-art terminal recently.
“Their visit was an excellent opportunity to showcase our advanced facilities, powered by cutting-edge technology and the seamless proximity of Customs operations.
“We were delighted to receive accolades from the NAGAFF and ANCLA teams for our world-class infrastructure, efficient operations, and commitment to excellence. “However, while ANCLA recommented on the necessity for a freight forwarder village, NAGAFF expressed concerns about the access roads leading to our terminal during their tour.
