CDS confirms Airforce jet gunned down, says pilot survives

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has confirmed that the Nigerian Airforce jet was gunned down but said the pilot survived.

Speaking in Kaduna during an interactive session with retired senior military officers in the North West, Gen Irabor remarked that since the incident happened the armed forces were trying to locate the plane and the pilot.

“The pilot is fine. I was with him the pilot. The pilot is in Kaduna. He braved his way and used other means,” he said.
