THE Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said it has dissolved the Trustees of CAN Trust Fund, advising Nigerians, especially Christians in Nigeria and abroad not to associate with anybody as related to the Trust Fund.
In a statement signed by Barrister Kwamkur Samuel Vondip, National Director, Legal and Public Affairs, CAN be stated that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Christian association after their meeting decided to dissolve the trust fund trustees on July 13, 2018 based on divided interest by the present trustees running the Trust Fund.
The Christians association stated that the decision to dissolve the trustees of the Trust fund was also in the interest of the affected Christians who are supposed to benefit from the money generated from the Trust fund.
The statement reads, “The attention of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has been drawn to a publication emanating from the Christian Social Movement of Nigeria (CSMN) signed by Pastor Emmanuel Bosun the CAN Trust Fund Secretary requesting for financial donations from the general Public particularly Christians both home and abroad into an account unknown to CAN.
“As a result of the above, the Secretary of CAN Trust Fund, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel is no longer representing CAN on the issue of CAN Trust Fund and therefore cannot solicit for funds for the CAN.
“Equally, CAN is not connected with Christian Social Movement of Nigeria (CSMN) the organization established by the National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) or any other organization under which Pastor Emmanuel Bosun may be soliciting for funds. Anyone that pays money to any account connected with him in relation to or on behalf of the CAN does so at his or her own risk.
“A new Trustee for CAN Trust Fund is being constituted and CAN would soon announce to the general public the new members and Secretary of CAN Trust Fund,” CAN be stated.
