Assistant General Superintendent (AGS), Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Aremo, Ibadan, Oyo State and the patron of the CAC Children and Teachers Association, Pastor Joseph Oladejo, have charged the leadership and elders of the church that it is expedient to settle the lingering crisis of the church now so as not to disrupt the unity and love among the younger generation of the church.

Oladejo stated this at the 50th anniversary celebration of the edification of children and teachers of CAC Ibadanland, at Ita-Baale Olugbode Missionary Headquarters, Ibadan, Oyo State, with the theme, ‘Thanksgiving’, adding that “the unity of the church is paramount, especially because of our young ones who have been associating together in love and in the fear of God.

“I am really happy because we have been nurturing them in the last 50 years and we have seen the result to the glory of God. It is a great delight to mark this golden jubilee and seeing our children doing exceedingly well in God’s vineyard.

“My advice for our children and those coming after us is to remain calm and rest assured that the Lord is at work. Definitely, we shall see the end of these stormy days and it shall be well with us in Jesus’s name.”

Chief Examiner of the association, Pastor Samuel Ogungbemi, expressed his delight at the commitment of the children of the churches that participated in this year’s examination as part of the activities marking the golden jubilee.

“I am happy with the turnout of the children, particularly with the innovation of awarding prices. It is encouraging and a welcome development that the children are passionate about the things of God at their tender age. Their preparation for the examination and the outcome of the result were impressive.  This initiative has immensely helped us to teach the children in the way of the Lord, so we could get them closer to God and make them impact the society positively,” he said.

As part of the activities to make the anniversary a memorable one, children from 54 branches of CAC took over the service with various activities, including special songs, chorerography, memory verses recitation, sermon, among others. While the church that won this year’s Bible study examination was CAC Oke Ife, Agbowo, Ibadan, Miss Testimony Ayanwola was the overall best student.
