THE candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari has taken early leads against the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar with 84370 votes. While APC is having upper hand with 280,448 votes, the PDP so far has gathered 196,078 votes in the State.
According to State collation Officer, Professor Yakub Yahusa, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano. The APC is leading PDP in 10 out of the 13 Local Governments released so far as at 4:40 am when the State collation calls for a break to be resumed by 11 am. The returning Officer who were mainly from the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto announced the results according to each Local Governments available as at the time.
In Wurno Local Governments, the returning officer, Dr Francis Patrick announced that APC had a total number of 20,307, while PDP scored 9847 votes. In Isa Local Government, Professor Bello Abubakar announced that APC scored 15264 against PDP with 17892.

Dr Yerima Musa, the returning officer for Silame Local Government announced that APC scored 10,910 while PDP scored13949. In Kware, Professor Abubakar Magaji disclosed that APC had 17684 while PDP had 14570. In Sokoto South, Dr Sanusi Ahmed also announced that APC scored 24598.
The returning Officer for Yabo Local Government, Dr Shehu Zaid also disclosed that APC scored 15465 as against 10176 for PDP, while Dr Muhammad Lawal who supervised Tureta also revealed that APC scored 8516 as against 10209 for PDP.
In Wamakko Local Government, Dr. Yahya Tanko Baba also announced that APC scored 37716 compared to PDP which scored 17174. Also in Gwadabwa, Professor Aminu Moode also disclosed that APC scored 23242 while PDP had 15656 votes.
Also in Kebbe, Professor Usman Bagudo announced that APC scored 16466 against 13,659 for the PDP, while the situation in Rabbah remained the same with APC scoring 15371 against PDP 10918
